The Exponential Playbook assessment framework combines sector-specific pillar weighting with impact ratio analysis to evaluate companies not just on their emissions reduction efforts, but on their potential to enable systemic decarbonization across the economy.
Pillar Weight Methodology
Determines how to weight each of the five climate action pillars based on a company's sector, business model, and where they can have the greatest impact.
Impact Ratio Methodology
Quantifies a company's positive climate impact relative to its footprint, applying GHG Protocol's Avoided Emissions framework and WBCSD guidance.

Sector Classification
We identify the company's sector archetype to establish base pillar weights that reflect where emissions typically occur.
Impact Assessment
We calculate the Impact Ratio to understand the company's potential for enabling decarbonization beyond its own footprint.
Weight Adjustment
High Impact Ratios increase Pillar 3 (Climate Solutions) weight, reflecting the company's role as a climate solution enabler.
